Children have begun to doubt the existence of Santa Claus long before Virginia wrote her letter to the Sun in 1897. It’s hard to pinpoint when Saint Nick started responding to their letters, but the highlight of the Christmas season for many children is getting that letter from Santa. Parents can help Santa by personalizing a variety of letters and having them mailed with envelopes that look like they’ve really been mailed from the big guy for just a few dollars. For the parents that really want to help Santa prove he’s real, there are deluxe options available, with reindeer food, Nice list certificates and other goodies, too!
In these days of phones glued to everyone’s ears, a phone call from Santa is a new way for your kids to connect with Santa Claus. What could be more magical for a child than to have a phone conversation with Santa Claus? I have to admit, a phone call like that might make me a believer again!
For adults, we can add some magic to our holiday mailings by getting a postmark from a city with a holiday-related name. From Advent, West Virginia, to Wiseman, Arkansas, you’re bound to find a city with the perfect holiday name for your mail. There are about 15 cities that offer special holiday postmark designs. Many offices ask that your mailings be in their offices by December 15, so get busy! If you’re like me and behind, you can just print a North Pole postmark to put on your letters!
