Christmas Organization and Planning

By Crystal Arcand on December 15th, 2008

Every year I say I’m going to plan ahead for Christmas. Then I get behind. When I ask my friends how they get everything done for Christmas, I find that they’re just as behind as I am. How do you organize Christmas and plan it so that it can be the joyous, peaceful time it’s supposed to be?

Being the printable freak that I am, I found a great site with Christmas organizers that breaks everything down for me. Christmas Planner has everything from basic checklists and menus to tradition trackers and decoration inventories. There’s even detailed instructions on how to print and create a master Christmas planning notebook.

Sometimes just having a bunch of printables staring back at me from the monitor just overwhelms me because I have no idea where to start. What do I start with – the gifts, or the decorating? Do I plan the menu first or clean the house? When do I start? June or October? The key principle I keep hearing from friends that do have Christmas organization down is to think Christmas all year long. Don’t wait until Thanksgiving weekend to start thinking about planning and organizing for Christmas.

As for all those other questions, I found a place with answers! Organized Christmas has a great six-week program to help you organize Christmas and have everything done and ready by the first Saturday in December. You’ll take care of organizing, gifts, cooking, decorating and even having a reality check so you can get down to celebrating. And what’s more rewarding than actually sitting down and enjoying a holiday that’s been organized, planned and carried out without any major disasters? Christmas organization and planning will help us all have a merry Christmas.
