Walking down the game aisle of any store will likely make the head spin, especially for parents of toddlers. What’s too easy? (Nothing, really.) What’s too hard? (Pretty much anything that requires thinking ahead.) Should they be learning something or not? (Not necessarily, but most toddlers end up liking the ones where they learn stuff the best anyway.) Check out these games for a fun time with the toddler in your life.
Memory – Little kids love the surprise of flipping over a card and seeing who waits on the other side. With versions including every toddler idol imaginable, finding the one to make your kiddo gleeful will be easy.
Lucky Ducks – Much like the Memory draw, surprise is an important element to the fun factor in this game. Cute ducks and water just make it all the more fun.
Elefun – A cute elephant, butterflies, nets and chasing – need we say more?
Candy Land DVD – Toddlers love to imitate what they see. Add a world of sugar to them to virtually play in, and you’ve got a great game to help wear them out before naptime.
Duck, Duck, Goose – Another wear-them-out game, this one is free since it requires nothing other than people. My kids have even played a two-player version, which is even more amusing to watch than one with more kids.
