So you didn’t get around to making a fantastic handprint craft for Christmas to remember your kids by? No problem. Now that the holiday rush is over, you can make handprint Valentine’s Day crafts to woo those who love your kids.

  • Stamp a heart by having your child close his fingers and arrange his hands so that the thumb tips and first finger tips touch each other.
  • Alternately, have your child make a fist and paint the side of the hand from the pinky down for one side of the heart. Repeat with the other hand to finish the heart.
  • Make a rose bud by stamping your child’s hand with the fingers and thumb together. Draw or paint a stem and leaves.
  • Add teeny-tiny hearts to a card by angling two fingerprints with the bottoms together.
  • Trace around your child’s hand, cut out, and glue the tips of the ring and middle fingers to the palm to create the American Sign Language sign for “I love you.” Write a message on a heart and glue onto the palm of the hand.
