Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. I like to see the stores filled with flowers and pretty little boxes of chocolate. But more than that, I love the thought of everyone taking time out to show all of the people in their life how much they care about them. These universal gifts are sure to make anyone feel special this February.

Make a Heart Collage
Use keepsakes to create a personalized memory collage. If you are making one for your husband, you can use things like a ticket stub to the first movie you saw together or a dried flower petal from a bouquet he gave you. If you are making it for your child, you can use things from their milestones like a lock of hair from their first hair cut. Take all of these things and paste them onto a card or poster board in the shape of a heart. If you don’t have a lot of mementos or you don’t want to get glue on them, you can also write or clip words and dates with special meanings and arrange them in the shape of a heart. Or you can print out pictures and do the same thing. Another option is to use a combination of the three.
Give Them a Box Full of Love
Find or create a special container. You can wrap a gift box with fancy paper or decorate a jar. Or you can buy a box of chocolates and empty it. Then cut up some pretty scrapbook paper into squares or any other shape you desire. Write something that you love or appreciate about your special person on each piece of paper. Put the pieces of paper into your container and present it as a memorable Valentine’s Day gift.
