With more kids than the Brady Bunch and Octomom combined, the Duggar family have long held the large-family crown with 18 kids in total — all of which feature first names starting with the letter J. In recent years the large clan have found fame with the TLC reality show 18 Kids and Counting: The Duggar Family. And today, news reports have announced that the family is getting even bigger, surprising news as the families mother and father — Michelle and Jim Bob — just had a little girl a few months ago. However, as it turns out, it’s not Michelle and Jim Bob who are expecting, but the family’s eldest son Joshua and his wife Anna that are.
Announced on The Today Show this morning, the young couple are happy and excited about their expected child. Joshua, the oldest brother of 17 other kids, will of course be starting the new family with some fatherly experience and according to reports Anna will also be prepared as she’s been receiving daily advice from her mother-in-law Michelle. This will be Michelle and Joe Bob’s first grandchild.
No word yet in whether the happy couple will continue in the Duggar family tradition of large families, but the couple did announce that they were considering keeping the one-letter first-name tradition. But with the letter M instead. M standing for Josh’s mother Michelle.
According to TLC, the trials and adventures of the new family will be a part of this season’s show.
