Kimora Lee Annouces Baby’s Name Via Twitter
“Life in the Fab Lane” star Kimora Lee Simmons recently announced the name of her newborn son Kenzo Lee Hounsou via her Twitter account. Her more than 20,000 followers were the first to hear of the birth and baby’s name. This could down in history as the first celebrity birth online. She even tweeted about having contractions.
Her boyfriend, actor Djimon Hounsou, was on hand to witness the birth of his new baby boy. Kimora’s latest tweet informs her followers that the entire family is doing fine and really excited about their latest addition. Even ex-husband and media mogul Russell Simmons had this to say via his twitter account: “Congradations babe u make some preety babies.”
It’s really is amazing to see Twitter continue to grow and develop in ways no one could have ever predicted. It will be interesting to see more celebrity baby births online and how the public receives them. I wouldn’t be surprised if a new website called BabiesOnTwitter comes out with mom’s tweeting through their babies.

Erykah Badu tweeted her entire birth to her followers a few months ago. But yeah, otherwise I think Kimora Lee is the only one to do so. Yet.
