I ran across this funny video on CoolMom.com where she talks about keeping a sheet over her couch to keep it clean. I completely understand where she is going with this. As a mother of three, I have come to the conclusion that I will not have nice furniture until the kids are older. There just isn’t a use to spend a lot of money on furniture that I will later find my daughter wrote on with a permanent marker. This mom spent $300 getting her couch cleaned, so she now keeps a sheet over the couch unless company comes over.
How far do you go to keep your furniture looking good? Would you cover your house in sheets? I decided to go for kid-friendly furniture instead. My couches may look nice, but were a bargain when getting used. I keep my steam cleaner handy and just clean spots as we go. I don’t want to live in a covered environment, having to rush and take off the sheets when someone shows up. I can easily replace my furniture if they do get ruined, and there is no way I am going to pay $300 to get them cleaned.
