Yesterday, US Marshals picked up Haylee Donathan, the 3 year-old that was taken by her mother and a convicted sex offender to San Diego. Having escaped from a halfway house in Mansfield, OH, 27 year-old sex offender Robbi Potter and girlfriend Candace Watson (Donathan’s mother) fled to San Diego, CA a few weeks back.
Authorities are scratching their heads as to why Watson would put her daughter in danger of this convicted felon. When found, Donathan was safe, however it is probable that she has a case of the Chicken Pox. Donathan will be returned to her maternal grandmother today, while both Potter and Watson face criminal charges.
It is unfortunate the mother, would put her daughter in so much danger. This man was convicted of countless sexual predator crimes and to have your child around as you escape with him is just sad. Thankfully this mother will no longer be the guardian to this child.
