After hearing about their major announcement of divorce last week, therapists and divorce experts suggest the “plus 8″ couple should think about divorce counseling. Although a relatively new concept in the therapy world, experts believe that whether the two stay together or proceed with the divorce, counseling is their best bet.
Jon and Kate need to agree on the fact that their children’ will be experiencing tough times throughout this divorce process and if counseling will help them counteract those problems, I say go for it.
Jon, who was the one that suggested the divorce option to Kate might have to be the person who spearheads the counseling process. Most of the issues that have arisen from this relationship seem to have been caused by him. However, it is a joint effort and both should be willing to participate.
