Today is National Take Your Dog to Work Day. That means if your employment is pet friendly (make sure to find out), show your dog some love and take him/her along with you. Started back in 1999, this year marks the 10th anniversary of this special pet holiday. For those of you without any dogs I suggest stuffed animals, they’re not as noisy and won’t interrupt you during your work.
It’s amazing to see more and more employers allow pets to work. Although this is not the trend with major corporations and retail businesses, I’ve seen more computer company’s and books stores welcome the idea. I have no problem with pets, but I can understand how some people might not enjoy having dogs or cats around at the workplace. Whether its allergies or fear, pets aren’t always the universal choice at work environments.
