Radio Flyer Inchworm Product Review

By Jeremy Suede on June 26th, 2009

The Inchworm by Radio Flyer is a rerelease of a  ride-on toy from the company that has been making toys for over 90 years.  Your kids will love his friendly face and then the mobility he gives them will only make them want this toy more.  They sit in the comfortable ergonomic saddle and bounce up and down to make them go.  You can be assured that they are safe with the heart shaped handle for them to hold onto and the integrated footrest keep them stable and in control.  The manufacturer recommends a minimum age of two years old but the weight required to make the toy function is closer to a three year old’s so be aware that it does take some weight/strength to make it go with the bouncing action.  Some reviewers have called up to complain about the lack of mobility and Radio Flyer has sent a replacement body that works better.  But once they are on the move, your kid will love this toy.

Radio Flyer Inchworm Reviews

“The Radio Flyer Inch Worm is great.  However, I bought it for my 2 yr old grandson and he is too light to make it work properly yet.  You need some weight on the kid to make it bounce.  He does enjoy it by pushing it around with his feet for the time being.  Should last him a very long time! BEWARE: assembly required, I would suggest taking it out of the box and putting it together before giving it as a gift.” customer review via – Toysrus.com

“My daughter received the pink version of this little guy for Christmas and loves it.  She immediatly fell in love with the worm and kept hugging and always has kisses for it.  Once we got it built (which was really easy) she jumped right on.  My dad shewed her how it worked because my husband and I are too young to remember the original! And she caught right on.  Great for energetic little ones.  I guess if your little one isn’t very energetic they might not get that into it because it does require energy to keep bouncing on it.” customer review via – Target.com
