Paris Jackson, Michael’s middle child, gave the day’s most heartfelt farewell to her dad when she said “(He was) The best father you could ever imagine.” Only 11 years-old, Paris was comforted by her aunt Janet and the rest of the Jackson family.

While alive, Michael did his best to shield the press away from his children as a way to make sure they don’t experience the ridiculousness of the paparazzi he faced all his life. The children are currently under the custody of Michael’s mother, Kathrine Jackson.
