Pools, Hot Tubs & Saunas

By sarah on July 12th, 2009

It’s summer, and you know what that means—it’s hot outside. High temperatures for the majority of the United States in the summer are in the 70’s or higher most days. So what’s the best way to beat the heat and have some fun for the whole family? In many parts of the United States, it’s a pool. Pools are a great way to supply yourself and your family with a well-needed break from the heat. Supplies for pools are frequently cheap and easily available in most parts of the US, and it’s fun to maintain a pool with your family. One great way to create family time is to buy and shop for supplies together, and then clean the pool together. Not only will you save on a pool boy, but your family gets some great fun time together.

Pools are also good during the winter. During the winter, it will be much easier to maintain a hot tub at your house instead of going to the sauna or spa if you have a pool. The reason? You can save on supplies and many times, pools have hot tubs attached to them. When you build your pool, you can also build a hot tub. If you’re lucky and you have the space, you can also build a sauna in your backyard. There’s nothing like a quick steam in the sauna before you jump in a pool to cool off.  It’s fun for the whole family. It’s also a lot cheaper than going to the spa. The cost of a massage for the whole family is much more than the cost of maintaining a pool and hot tub. Plus, you get to spend quality alone time with your kids.

In summary, the best way to have family fun in the summer is to get a pool, and in the winter, it’s to get a hot tub or sauna. You’ll have fun shopping for supplies and cleaning the pool together, instead of going to the spa and spending money on spa treatments.
