The world’s oldest new mom died yesterday of cancer at the age of 69. Just three years ago Maria Del Carmen Brousada made headlines after giving birth at the of 66. Brousada who ended up having twins, used invitro fertilization.
Some reports say she lied about her age in order to get donor sperm from the clinic. Brousada, who was a single mother at the time was recorded as the oldest woman to ever give birth.
A few years later her record was broken by a 69 year-old and then unbelievably a 70 year-old a short time later. Invitro fertilization continues to be a controversial issue for woman who can’t have kids. Some say examples such as Octomom and Brousada are whats wrong with this medical procedure.
