As the Swine Flu continues to grow and infect unsuspecting victims, hospitals are cautioning soon-to-be mothers about home birthing options. Most hospitals are even taking precaution at their facilities making sure visitors are screened and not carrying the infectious disease.
With the current shortage of midwives, hospitals are saying that it’s harder to have safe and sanitary home births now. Although they do take pressure off understaffed hospitals, the risk might be higher of catching infectious disease if women decide on a home births.
