fore-game-1

This is the first in a series of games that Epicenter Studios  plans to developed for the  Nintendo Wii.  Described as a family friendly action puzzler that features non-violent game-integral puzzles that mirror the challenges that many actual firefighters face on a daily basis.  Players will step into blackened boots of a firefighter and go out on calls as the newest member of a busy metropolitan fire stations. The developers have introduces a “Thinking Fire” which will mimic the erratic changes to the environments around them which will suddenly change the gamers options and course of action.  The fire has a mind of it’s own and  every time it is played it will be different and that means kids won’t get bored of it as quickly.  When you take away the ability to memorize timing and techniques, it opens up endless possibilities for game-play.

Gamers will be placed into a squad of fellow fire fighters and go through training and daily work to become experienced and make sure everyone makes it out alive when you start fighting the fires.  Then a call comes in and suddenly you’re riding in the truck on your way to the scene.  Utilizing the Wii’s unique controls, gamers will use full-motions swings to break through doors with their axe or saw.  Pry apart crushed metal with the Jaws of Life using their own motions.  They will hook up the hoses and control the water as they douse the flames.  Perhaps they may even have to climb up the ladder to save someone.  The possibilities and game-play are endless.

Featuring a voice cast of Hollywood actors and actresses such as James Marsters, Jack McGee, Michael Jace, Jamie Kennedy and Jenette Goldstein.  This game is not only safe for everyone in the family but features themes that should be shared by all and heroic acts that should be admired rather than racking up the highest kill count for points.  With the Wii’s motion controls they will also be getting some sort of aerobic exercise (definitely not a substitute for daily exercise) so this is a good buy for the whole family’s mind and body.

This is a really cool game, especially if you are interested in Firefighting. I used to be a volunteer Firefighter, so I really enjoyed this game. You may have to rest from it for a little bit every now and then because your arm will hurt havin' to hold up the Wii-mote pretty much throughout the entire game so you can aim the extinguisher/hose at the fires, but over all it is a pretty awesome game, I really hope the make a sequel to this game and/or another Real Heroes game based on another profession such as police officer or ambulance.
