Usually websites promote sitting and staring at a screen, with the most activity being the occasional scroll and click. GoTrybe.com has made it their personal mission to get kids away from the computer and out exercising, all while having tons of fun.
GoTrybe.comis an interactive activity site for kids and teens promoting a healthy lifestyle. It seems counter intuitive for a website to promote leaving the computer in the dust in favor of football, tag or pushups, but that’s precisely their goal. The subscription site allows kids to earn points for logging in their activity or answering daily health and fitness questions correctly. They can then take those points they earned and use them to buy things like clothes and accessories for their avatar- a little animated person your child gets to design to represent them on the site. The more points your child earns, the higher their ranking in the GoTrybe community. The top ranked kids get to be Trybal Leaders, and displayed on the homepage for all their hard work.
The site runs much like other social networking sites, with your own profile, and the ability to connect with other users. The difference is, this site is just for kids, with the entire emphasis on health and fitness. The site run by certified professionals, teaching kids and teens how to find new, fun ways to get active, about proper nutrition, motivation and wellness. The site is chock full of resources, like daily workouts, videos of new exercises to try, fun quizzes and informative articles to keep kids engaged and learning about staying healthy. Kids also have the opportunity to make friends with other kids also using the Gotrybe.com site, and add them as buddies. They can then message with their buddies to share ideas and workouts and just connect with other kids with like interests.
There is all kind of merchandise available at the Trybal Store, so your kids can proudly show the world the athlete they are on their tshirt or baseball hat.
