As a mom and a “health nut,” I am always focused on what goes in my kids’ bodies.  We kicked high fructose corn syrup to the curb like we were Whitney and old HFCS was Bobby Brown.

Only recently have I begun to have similar concerns about what goes ON their bodies.  We’ve switched laundry detergents, baby shampoos and cleaners to more natural, chemical-free alternatives.  So when I was contacted by Simply Chickie to sample their line of 100% organic cotton clothing for children, I excitedly agreed.

Free of dyes and using only certified cotton grown in pesticide-free fields, all of Little Chickie Wear products are made in the U.S. and feature kitschy sayings and designs created by CEO and Founder, Gwendolyn Garnder.

When I received a t-shirt for my almost 2-year-old, I was taken immediately with the cute design, a small fish saying, “I just ate and I’m going swimming.”  Even more, though, I was bowled over by how incredibly soft the shirt was.  I wanted to hold it, hug it, squeeze it and call it “George.”  I wanted to cram my adult torso into all of its’ luxurious organic cotton love.  Instead, I relinquished it to my youngest, who too loved the soft shirt.

I would highly recommend Simply Chickie’s clothes, whether you want an environmentally friendly option, or just a really soft, really great product.  Many of the designs are unisex, which are perfect for baby gift giving.  Now can Simply Chickie just make adult sizes?
