I have to say some of the reactions I have seen on chat boards are more appalling to me than the actual act of this man slapping a complete stranger's child, or slapping a child at all for that matter. I get that there are whacked out people in this world that think they can do inappropriate things because they are being bothered. I wasn't aware that so many average, everyday people were okay with assault and battery as long as it happens to a child. I wonder how they would react if he had slapped the mother instead? Why is it more acceptable to abuse a child than an adult? Wow! Recently someone smacked my sister's child on the bottom and when my sister called the police the police told her that it is not against the law to smack a child on the bottom and that there was nothing they could do. I wish when my 3 boys were little that someone in the store would have given me a hand and smacked their bottoms!
