The Beatles: Rock Band – Video Game Preview

Admit it. You’ve played your kids Rock Band game. And you liked it. The game can be enjoyed by the entire family and with a little bit of practice, anyone can be high score. While you may not know (or like) the music the game has, its hours of fun for everyone. Well now MTV Games is introducing a new version of Rock Band featuring entirely Beatles hits. Now you can experience playing along side Paul, John, George and Ringo at their most famous of shows spanning their entire history.

Play at the small Cavern Club, introduce yourself to the world on the Ed Sullivan Show and then play some of the biggest venues in the world (Shea Stadium, Budokan, record at Abbey Road and even the famous Rooftop Concert). You’ll get to play such classic hits such as:

“I Saw Her Standing There”
“I Want to Hold Your Hand”
“I Feel Fine”
“Day Tripper”
“Taxman”
“I Am The Walrus”
“Back In The U.S.S.R.”
“Octopus’s Garden”
“Here Comes The Sun”
“Get Back”

Along with the game, MTV Games is also releasing specialized playing instruments that are precise replicas of each members signature pieces:

John Lennon’s - Rickenbacker 325 guitar
Sir Paul McCartney’s – Hofner bass
George Harrison’s – Gretsch Duo Jet guitar
Ringo Starr’s – Drums with his classic black oyster pearl finish and Ludwig-branded Beatles kick drum head

All previously released instruments will also work so don’t go out buying new instruments just because. But these new instruments are cool to see. They look awesome and will make the experience complete. You can experience the Beatles musical legacy like never before and have a game you can play with your kids. Just think of how astonished they’ll be when you know all the lyrics, music and secrets in a video game before they do.
