These Hardy Boys just never give up.  Along with Nancy Drew and Scooby-Doo, their mysteries never end.  They remain popular among children of all ages because they stimulate the mind so naturally they would make the jump from books to video games.  And naturally the games are just as popular.  Teaming up with Miss Drew, the Hardy’s solve new and interactive mysteries all around their hometown of Bayport.

This game was previously released on PC but it has been remastered and refurbished for the Wii platform and will keep your child’s interest and keep them thinking as they solve the mystery alongside Frank and Joe.  The game also features the voices (and likeness) of Hollywood teen stars Jesse McCartney and Cody Linley.  You’ll have to search the Hardy Home, Bayport Police Station and many other places that until now have only been available in the pages of books.

The vault at Spencer Mansion is robbed, and the Bayport Police call on the Hardy Boys to help tie-up some loose ends, but they soon find themselves in the middle of a major criminal investigation that takes them on an adventure all over Bayport, and even into New York City.  But the pieces don’t add up, and the Hardy’s find themselves embroiled in a drama of sinister proportions. Is the recent theft linked to something from the past? Can Frank and Joe find and decipher the clues in time to prevent another crime from happening? Play as two of history’s most famous literary detectives and interact with Fenton and Laura Hardy, the Hardy Boys’ friend, Chet Morton, and others.

Along the way gamers get to choose their dialogue, either from a variety of responses available or they can even make up their own dialogue to further make the experience their own.  Each mini-game solved throughout the investigation gives the gamer valuable pieces of evidence to help solve the case.  If they get stuck, they can always use their cell phone to give Nancy Drew a call and she can give them some valuable insight into the case.

This family friendly game may not be enough to hold the interest of the older kids but your pre-teens and younger teenagers will love this game as the perfect companion to their books.  The interactive story and dialogue will keep their interest and the puzzles will keep their brain from turning to mush.  A worthwhile family game.
