Jon Gosselin has been very busy lately, making himself look bad. He has done interviews where he bad mouths his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin and has been running around town with much younger girls, acting as if he doesn’t have any kids at all. It was only a matter of time before TLC got tired of his antics and decided he wasn’t the best father figure to have on their network.
People and several other news outlets are reporting that TLC is dropping Jon from the show and will rename it ‘Kate Plus 8.’ on November 2. This makes sense. Jon doesn’t interact much with the kids or have them do anything all that fun and exciting. When Jon attempts to do something fun, it just turns out badly. Look at his fishing trip. He gets frustrated, the kids seem miserable and it isn’t all that entertaining to watch. Kate takes the kids to do fun things and she does things just to make them happy.
Prior to the divorce, I never liked Kate. I even blamed her entirely for the break up. Then Jon started acting out and the tables have turned. Yes, Kate did act like a witch to him, but his behavior now makes me wonder what things were like behind the cameras. There are always two sides to every story. Kate has really stepped it up and is trying to do right by her kids.
There is also word that Kate is working on a talk show where she will co-star with Paula Deen. That should be interesting. I give her props for being able to cook for that many people day in and day out. She has to have some really great tips to share with the world. I have trouble cooking for our family of five, I couldn’t imagine cooking for 10!
Be on the look out for the newly-named ‘Kate Plus 8′ this November. Jon may have small guest appearances, but TLC will no longer be filming him. How is he going to pay all that child support? He needs to get going on a multi-million dollar show or he may be in a world of trouble.
