Captain-Kirk-MDAre your kids still having trouble picking out a costume?  Do they want something new and cool but can’t figure out what exactly?  Maybe all they need is a little push in the right direction.  Simply remind them of all the movies they saw this year and from one of those pick a costume. Here’s a list of all the movies that just may spark the costume idea that will make their Halloween complete.  Some of them link to GetGreatCostumes.com and show all of the costumes they have for that movie.

Dragonball Evolution -While it may have died at the box office, there is definitely a following for the animated series of fighting masters.  Characters of every sex, species and color so there will be an abundance of costume ideas.  Make sure to stock up on hair gel though.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - Although darker than previous releases, this movie has plenty of characters, of both sexes, in easy to make and comfortable costumes.  They could be a Hogwarts student and just get a set of school robes.  Or a simple lightning bolt on the forehead and some glasses and POOF you have Harry Potter.

Monsters vs. Aliens – With both monsters and aliens in this funny animated movie, there will be tons of ideas on screen.  Great for little kids and maybe even the adults accompanying them around the neighborhood.

Star Trek -This cool space-movie has aliens, lasers and starships which maks the costume possibilities endless.  Put on some pointy ears and you can be Spock or get a simple uniform and a dashing smile to be Kirk.  Crazy looking aliens provide plenty of ideas too.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – Walking, talking robots that kick major butt and can turn into cool things like jets, tanks or cars are just the stuff that Halloween costumes are made of.  It could be Optimus Prime, Bumblebee or maybe even Megatron. Either way the costume will be cool.

Watchmen – This did receive a very well deserved “R” rating so the teenagers would be the best for these costumes.  The Night Owl or Rorschach would make for some awesome looks.  (I’d say the Silk Spectre for girls but that would have to be 18 and over.)

Wolverine - Everyone’s favorite X-Men got his own movie this year.  He’s cool, he kicks butt and has plenty of bad guys around to beat up.  Not just Wolverine though, maybe Victor or Gambit could be their costume choice.  Even if they don’t get an idea from this movie, they may be inclined to watch the X-Men movies and there are plenty of cool costumes there.

Write in anything I may have missed or your own costume ideas to share.  Good luck and happy hunting!
