A 5-year-old Romanian boy, Giuliano Stroe, with abs and muscles that any guy would love to have, has become an Internet sensation and earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.  The announcement was made and this video was released for everyone to see Giuliano in action as he performs back flips, wall flips, lifts weights and performs other amazing things that no pre-schooler I know can come close to doing.

Earlier this year he was on an Italian variety show where he performed the fastest ever 10 meter hand walk with a weight ball between his legs.  That video was then watched across the world on YouTube and now this new video has cemented him as an Internet star.

Giuliano’s father, Iulian, is a weightlifter himself and said “He has been going to the gym with me ever since he was born. I always took him with me when I went training.”  When asked about safety, “The gym is no place for a toddler,” Iulian stated,  ”I have been training  hard all my life myself.  He is never allowed to practice on his own, he is only a child and if he gets tired we go and play.”

On the surface it seems that the boy just picked up his father’s hobby and there is no steroids or foul play involved.  But it doesn’t make you wonder whether or not it is forced on the boy or if it really is by his own choosing? Something about it just doesn’t seem right to me.  What happens when he does inevitably get into an argument at school or something and it gets physical?  If it is against kids his own age, he will hurt them badly and that could lead to legal troubles?  Would you let your kids get this much into weight lifting at such an early age?
