This girl was totally out of line. The other girl did instigate, but the UNM girl did go way overboard. She was kicked off the team as far as I know. My 6yo daughter cheered for the mens UNM soccer team shortly after this, I'm glad this type of thing didn't happen while she was there...it would have been very hard to explain to our group of 25 elementary aged cheerleaders. New Mexico never gets on the news for anything good, really hate when I hear we made the news….again. This girl was totally out of line. I have coached soccer for 14 years at all levels and I have never seen anything like this display of violence. She should be banned for life from this sport everywhere. The team should be fined $100,000 for not taking this thug off. I was considering sending my 3 daughters to some of these schools. Not anymore. It is called the "beautiful game" for a reason. This is not why. DISGUSTING!!!! I have coached soccer for 14 years at all levels and I have never seen anything like this display of violence.
