At one point, we criticize the "outer beauty" pressure and the photo manipulation of people (including children) in the beauty and consumer industries. And yet, at the same time, you run an article abotu Heidi Klum, five weeks after pregnancy, "Just Showing Off For Mom's Everywhere...

I feel this is disingenuous and hypocritical. And while the "mainstream media" is so up in arms about the glories of Photoshop and the pressure placed on "mainstream population" to look a certain dress size, WHEN will people finally address the pressures placed on women "of color" to be fair-skinned and blonde? It's pushed to us everyday in the "mainstream media"; it affects our children in a negative way, including their self-image; and many, many people in developing companies kill themselves by slowly (over-) consuming skin bleaching products.

When will this finally be addressed, with out exotic fascination, by the mainstream media?

If outer beauty is not so important to the writer, then said writer will also not do cartwheels over a a 5 weeks-post pregnancy Heidi Klum walking down a fashion runway. Let's stop sending out all of these mixed messages. Please.
