Forget about Batman, Anakin Skywalker or even Harry Potter. The real midnight champion is Edward Cullen.
The late night shows late Thursday Nov. 19, early Nov. 20 of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” made $26.27 million in 3,514 theaters breaking the old record set by “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” with $22.2 and “The Dark Knight” with $18.4 million.
Next up in the film’s sights are the one day record held by “The Dark Knight” of $67.1 million.
Of course, these records get broken all the time and don’t account for inflation or anything but your Twi-hard kids will probably be excited to know that “New Moon” is on track to be one of the biggest hits ever.
