The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Cost Plus Inc., are issuing a voluntary recall of their ‘Stainless Steel Cookware’ sold in stores nationwide because the handles can break and result in a burn hazard.
Currently no incidents have been reported but Cost Plus is getting ahead of the problem and recalling before anything does happen. This recall involves three stainless steel cookware sets; a 4-piece multi cooker set, a 3-piece steamer set, and a 1.5 quart egg poacher with SKU numbers 422698, 422699 and 422700. The SKU numbers can be found on the sales receipt. All products were sold in stores nationwide during August 2009. The 4-piece multi cooker was sold for $30, the 3-piece steamer set for $15 and the 1.5QT egg poacher for $15.
