The cribs aren’t the only thing being recalled this week.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Grand World Inc. have recalled more than 641,000 “Bobby Chupete” pacifiers because the product failed to meet federal safety standards and may be too small which may cause choking. If you or anyone you know has purchased one of these products they are being urged to stop use immediately and to contact the manufacturer.
While no incidents have been reported so far, Grand World Inc. is fully cooperating with the CPSC to make sure no problems do occur. The products were sold at various retail store nationwide from November 2004 through July 2009 and were about $1. The pacifiers have a ring-shaped handle and heart-shaped mouth guard with two ventilation holes. The nipple is made of latex. “Bobby Chupete” and a picture of an infant are printed on the pacifier’s packaging. The pacifier was sold in aqua, red, white or yellow colors.
