“Finding Entertainment Appropriate for Kids,” or FEAK, runs every Friday and discusses places – mainly the movie theaters – where parents can look to find things for their kids to watch over the weekend.
This week there is one major family movie out in theaters and it’s one we can’t recommend highly enough. It’s called “The Princess and the Frog.”
The latest Disney film has been covered for the past several weeks here at KidGlue, so instead of slam you over the head with it again, here are the major bullet points.
- “Your kids are going to love this movie and you might even love it more as it preaches that all dreams can come true, if you are truly willing to work for them.” Read our review of the film.
- The film is based on the fairy tale “The Frog Prince” but is set in the swinging bayou of New Orleans. Check out the behind the scenes video here.
- “The Princess and the Frog” marks Disney’s return to hand drawn animation. But in some instances, that’s even more complicated than computer animation. Check out how one frame of the story comes to life with these picture here.
- Everyone knows and loves Aladdin, Simba, Belle, Ariel and the other classic Disney characters. But with “The Princess and the Frog,” we are introduced to a whole bunch of new ones. See all the characters and the actors who provide their voices with this photo gallery.
- And just to immerse yourself in the world of “The Princess and the Frog,” take a quick trip though the movie with these photos from the film.
Next week, one of the biggest films of the year – “Avatar” is out in theaters and we will surely let you know all about it. Keep it tuned here to KidGlue!
