yes, but then, how many parents take their kids to see movies that aren't rated suitable for kids? when I went to the LOTR MARATHON - yes, not a single movie, but an almost 12hr marathon - there were kids there that weren't old enough for school in a movie marathon that here in Australia is rated M15+

I personally believe that they shouldn't be able to sell tix to under-age movie-goers (and should be fined for doing so - like that would happen...).

YES! Big McDonalds fail here! Avatar toys to kids- i don't know many 13yr old happy meal eaters.

I even went to McDonalds site to complain, but when i saw their complaint form was a multi-field monstrosity (Seriously i have to give you my home address, and phone number, etc just to complain? Again fail!), i gave up on that.

Oh - and a word of advice, don't even waste your time trying to get a response from @mcdonalds on Twitter' because that's just a bandwagon jumping cool move they schlepped out to some hip marketing agency that never listens anyways ;)

When you look at the usually successful toys they tie in with movies at McD's - this one was an ill conceived cash in at best and blatant "we don't care about anything but $$$" at worst.

You're implying that children under 13 aren't allowed to see PG-13 movies. It's certainly within your rights as a parent not to allow it, but that's not on McDonalds' radar; corporate profits are. If you object to the toys they sell with your children's meals, shop elsewhere. If enough people agree, market forces will drive them to change.
