Kids want more Christmas than just TV. When they get tired of watching holiday television with you, turn on the computer. Check out these websites to give kids the ‘Net Christmas they’re dreaming of this year.

NorthPole.com – Downloads, games, e-cards, and stories keep kids happily busy until the big night, when they can actually track Santa with NORAD. There’s even a huge area for parents, with printables perfect for homeschooling and a ton of recipes.

NORADSanta.org – There’s a new activity for kids every day before Christmas, and a Santa snack counter that shows how many cookies the big guy devours during his delivery run on Christmas Eve.

Kaboose Christmas 2009 – Games, recipes, printables, clip art, music, crafts – everything is here. This is the site with the widest variety of stuff for kids.

DLTK Holidays – This is a Christmas printable wonderland, with everything from coloring pages to math worksheets for homeschooling families.

FamilyFun Christmas – From cards and printables to games and decorations, you’ll find everything here, including an entire section devoted to Santa.

Whether you’ve got a four-year-old like my Bethany that just wants as many coloring pages as she can get her hands on, or a nine-year-old like my Brandon that wants to see how many computer games there are that involve snowballs, these sites will please them. Even the seven-year-old mini-mommies like my Sarah will find crafts and recipes that will satisfy with these sites.

A note: even though these sites could keep your kids occupied and happy by themselves for hours, make sure you carve out time to spend with your kids on these sites. It’ll increase their value tenfold.
