The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Jide Trading Inc. have announced a recall of more than 2,000 military action figures because they contain excessive amounts of lead paint. Anyone who has purchased one of these products should immediately stop playing with the toy.
These toys were sold in Dollar Stores around the country between November 2008 and April 2009. No injuries have been reported but after market quality assurance tests have revealed overly high amounts of lead paint. For more information on lead paint standards visit the Environmental Protection Agency’s website.
