Calling all GLEEks!

Casting for season two of the hit show ‘Glee’ is about to begin, and your talented kids are invited to audition.

“Glee,” the FOX musical dramedy that follows the trials and tribulations of  high schoolers who sing in their school’s glee club, has catapulted into the spotlight, taking TV ratings, and the music charts, by storm.

“Glee” is currently on hiatus, but the second half of Season 1 will begin airing in April. FOX announced January 11th that the show has been renewed for a second season (which is really no surprise) and they are looking to add three new roles.

During the TCA Press Tour in Los Angeles, Fox announced it will launch a nationwide talent search this February to fill the three new Season 2 roles.  Auditions will be open to anyone, amateur and professional, 16-26 years old.  Great singing voice is a must. Online auditions will also be accepted.

FOX also announced that they plan to document the auditions and casting process to air in a multi-part special before the season 2 premiere of “Glee” this fall. I envision a lot of “American Idol“-esque singing audition reject clips.

Full details on the open auditions will be available soon on Fox.com/glee. Meanwhile, to help your future star prepare for their audition, watch the video above of Diana Agron audition for the role of mean girl cheerleader Quinn Fabray.
