‘Tooth Fairy’ Cast and Crew Audio Interviews

Rock-Tooth-Fairy-LG“Tooth Fairy” seems like the perfect option for family film fun. You’ve got The Rock as a rude talking hockey player, Julie Andrews as a lovable, kind, flying fairy, Billy Crystal as a witty master of gadgets, Stephen Merchant as a dweeby foil and Ashley Judd as a big hearted mother.

And though the film might not be one that will be remembered for years, that’s certainly not going to stop families from checking it out and walking out with some important messages.

But who better to talk about those messages than the stars of the film and the director?

KidGlue was lucky enough to be among the journalists at the “Tooth Fairy” press conference in Beverly Hills recently and heard many fantastic stories. Some of the highlights are below. Instead of just telling you, though, we’ll let the stars tell you themselves!

Julie Andrews, is one of our greatest treasures. In addition to being one of the most beloved actresses EVER (“The Sound of Music,” “Mary Poppins,” “Peter Pan,” etc.) she continues to act and write children’s books. Below, Andrews talks about why she agreed to be in the “Tooth Fairy,” how it relates to her books and also the book that still inspires her.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is best known for being one of the biggest stars is World Wrestling Entertainment history. Now, he’s one of the biggest stars in Hollywood too, especially with the family crowd: “The Game Plan,” “Race to Witch Mountain,” “Planet 51, “Get Smart” and more just to name a few. But it wasn’t always easy for Dwayne. Below, he talks about what it takes to help your kids follow their dreams.

Director Michael Lembeck is a Hollywood legacy. He has been acting since the early 1970s and and directing since the late 1980s. Some of his best known directorial works are over 60 episodes of “Major Dad,” 20 episodes of “Friends” and “The Santa Clause 2 & 3.” Here, Lembeck talks about how a certain Disney movie influenced him to make a film that truly respected kids.
