Are you an “Alice in Wonderland” fanatic? Do you live anywhere near Los Angeles? Well, even if you don’t, you have an event coming up. Make sure to mark your calendar as busy on Friday, Feb 19th starting at 5 p.m. as there will be an event for the Wonderland zealots at the Hollywood & Highland Center’s Central Courtyard in Hollywood presented by a plethora of sponsors including performances from the soundtrack by 3OH!3, Metro Station, Family Force 5, Kerli and Never Shout Never. It’ll also be simulcast on MySpace at www.myspace.com/wonderland.
The most intriguing hosts are KIIS-FM, MySpace and Hot Topic. KIIS-FM will be joining the festivities by giving away VIP passes for a sneak peak at unseen footage from the movie at the nearby El Capitan Theatre. Tickets will be given out until the day of the event. KIIS-FM’s Manny of the Streets will also MC on the main stage for the evening.
Myspace’s Quddus and Roslynn Cobarrubias will be running the backstage all night live on Ustream giving live interviews. Youtube’s Philip DeFranco will also be doing interviews throughout the event.
The Hot Topic store will be the venue of the party, but transformed into Alice’s wonderland, featuring a load of merchandise, including pre-ordering the soundtrack and t-shirts of bands featured on the soundtrack. If you are one of the lucky first 250 to buy a 3OH!3 shirt and preorder the soundtrack (starting Feb 8th), you will be get to meet the band, have special seating in the pit as well as a sneak peak at the El Capitan Theatre.
The gathering will also feature many celebrities including director Tim Burton and members of the movie cast as well as chances to win “Alice In Wonderland” related prizes. Everyone is encouraged to dress up for a costume contest to also win a preview at the El Capitan Theatre. This is the party of parties for Alice in Wonderland fan.
