Wonka Chocolate Holds A Real Golden Ticket Contest

willy-wonka-golden-ticket-LGI’m sure there aren’t going to be any Oompa Loompas running around, but this still sounds pretty cool…

Nestle, owner of the Wonka Chocolate line, is launching a real-life golden ticket contest to promote it’s new candy line, Exceptionals.

Wonka’s Exceptionals is their newest “premium chocolate” treat, which means it will cost more than Charlie paid for his life changing bar, but 5 lucky winners will unwrap those bars and get a shiny, golden ticket.

There is no tour of the Wonka factory, but the five grand prize ticket holders and their three best friends will get to take a trip around the world with $12,500 in spending money.

Thousands of other chocolate-hidden prizes will include movie certificates, airline vouchers, Ticketmaster gift cards, and, of course, free chocolate.

The rules are simple: unwrap your bar, and if you see a ticket that says “Congratulations!” you’ve won.  The directions for claiming your prize are printed on the ticket.

The golden ticket contest is currently underway, and will end on 8/31/10.  Prizes must be claimed by 9/27/10, so get unwrapping!

The only thing that could make this contest any sweeter would be a song by Gene Wilder following by a swim under the chocolate waterfall.
