RECALL: Scooby-Doo, Tweety and Batman Utensil Sets Cause Choking

By Jeremy Suede on March 9th, 2010

More than 127,000 spoon and fork sets sold nationwide are being recalled because they may break and become lodged in a child’s throat, causing the child to choke.  Peachtree Plaything, Inc. along with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission have issued the recall after reports of the middle prongs on the fork breaking and being swallowed.

The sets feature Scooby-Doo, Tweety and Batman on them and we sold in Dollar Tree stores around the country during January 2010.  The two-piece set is white plastic with cartoon images on the handle.  If you or someone you know purchased one of these sets, they are being instructed to immediately stop use and return the product to place of purchase for a complete refund.
