Usually, Greg isn't very likeable. In fact, from what I remeber, most children between the ages of 11 and 17 aren't very likeable either. It's an akward time, and that's part of why Greg is so unlikeable. The point is kids can relate to what he's going through. The middle and high school years are hell. Personally, I found it hilarious. Have you ever read the books? Usually, Greg isn’t very likeable.
