Child Role Model – Ainan Celeste Cawley, 10

By Jeremy Suede on April 23rd, 2010

Ever since he could read and write (probably even before) Ainan Celest Cawley was thinking of science.  More specifically chemistry and he has excelled at it for all of his young life.  When he was very young he would be “caught” writing chemistry equations so his parents just went with it.  When he was only six-years-old he started attending Singapore Polytechnic University and in less than a year he passed the chemistry examination with an “O” level by the time he was seven.  That is equivalent to about 10th grade chemistry.

After taking more chemistry classes at the university he wanted to delve into other subjects.  Most kids would be thinking about recess or sports but Ainan wanted to study physics.  By July of 2009 he has completed the Physics Examination and was just a few weeks away from going as far as the university could take him.

He still spends four days a week at regular school where he can interact with kids his own age and satisfy his playing needs.  He is just a kid after all.  But this kid becomes a teacher and at times he will be the one to teach his young classmates about chemistry. As he grows up his learning has grown beyond the borders of Singapore and his father continues to look for foreign universities in America and Australia who would be willing to admit a 10-year-old boy.

Ainan is extremelly gifted and has a mind well beyond his years but he shows that anyone at any age can learn things, even chemistry.  Show your child Ainan to give them more motivation to not be out done by a 10-year-old.
