Not sure what Arbor Day is? Don’t worry; a half hour ago we weren’t either.
Apparently, Arbor Day is a US Nation Holiday that is celebrated on the last Friday of April every year. The holiday is celebrated by individuals planting trees to help save the Earth.
Individuals, small groups, companies and schools are all encouraged to get out and start planting in an effort to make our planet greener and healthier for future generations.
The holiday was founded by J. Sterling Morton in 1872 in the United States but has becoming increasingly popular in other countries over the past few decades.
Understandably, not everyone can take the time out of their day to go plant a tree (let alone know where or how to plant one) but there is a way to plant a tree without leaving your home or office.
Those interested in contributing to a great cause, can visit www.arborday.org and purchase a tree online.
If you do, let us know in the comments below. Together, we can all make a difference!
