It IS Friday, which is something to celebrate in itself, but sometimes that’s just not enough. Maybe that’s why this video of a little girl, Jessica, telling herself all about how awesome her life is in the bathroom mirror, has become such a popular internet phenomenon. The spritely blonde lunges around the bathroom counter, speaking with the swagger and authority of a motivational speaker:
“My whole house is great. I can do anything good. I like my school. I like anything. I like my dad. I like my cousins. I like my aunts. I like my Allisons. I like my moms. I like my sisters. … I like my hair. I like my haircuts. I like my pajamas. I like my stuff. I like my room. I like my whole house. My whole house is great. I can do anything good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I can do anything good, better than anyone!”
The video is a few years old – Jessica is only 4 in the video, she’s 12 now – but it’s star still seems to have a pretty great attitude about life. When her dad created a YouTube account to share videos with family and friends around the world, they never expected that she’d become a viral hit. Jessica thinks it’s a little “crazy” that all these people she doesn’t know have seen her, but, remarkably for a pre-teen, she doesn’t seem embarrassed by having her exuberant little girl self in the internet’s spotlight. Jessica wants to be either an interior designer or a lawyer when she grows up, and she seems like a poised, happy, well balanced kid.
Thanks for sharing your joyful attitude with us, Jessica! We all need a dose of awesome every once in a while!
