With a whole summer’s worth of talent based reality competitions hitting the airwaves, including “So You Think You Can Dance,” we’ve all gotten an eyeful of talented street and break dancers. But, most of them haven’t been this short and none of them have been this cute.
Nine year old Bailey Munoz, aka “Bailrok” and his five year old partner Miles “Baby Boogaloo” Brown brought their dance team, Future FunK, to “America’s Got Talent” this week. Their perfect aplomb in the face of enormous crowds, judges and TV cameras would have been enough to earn these pint sized performers a place in our hearts. The fact that they pulled off everything from hip-hop to ballroom to the robot in almost perfect sync was even more remarkable. That they did it with the kind of style, personality and connection with their audience that many seasoned adult performers struggle to attain was enough to earn judge Howie Mandel’s first “wow” moment of the season and the season’s first tickets to Vegas.
