Kate Plus 8 Receives Negative Reviews from Viewers!

Everyone is too hard on Kate. Not sure why, are they jealous? What is the difference in her show and the other family reality shows. People are just trying to be mean because she has been successful and does the right thing. I’m on Kate’s Team and I am happy for her!

The difference between Kate and other reality families is that Kate is relishing in the celebrity. As much as she says she “hates” the paps, she wants to be famous and is willing to use whoever she can to acheive it. Talk to people in her neighborhood sometime – and you will hear how the only time she spends with her kids anymore is when the camera’s are rolling! I actually liked her in the very beginning, I thought she was a caring, thoughtful -yet somewhat controlling mother. Now all I see is a celebrity wanna be and the only way this no talent woman can get that is by using her children.

i cant believe that moe is being spent giving this “woman” a show. when i first started watching the show i did like it. watchin g the young couple trying to make it with their chidren. everything changed on the episode when they went to the big box store. i dont blame jon for ESCAPING. i dont blame him for enjoying a little bit of freedom while the witch was pretending to cry what am i going to do. BS!! so man single mother out there doing it and not getting pai a lot of moeny by a tv show to do it the do it because they actually do care for the kids. GOD WHEN ID HER 15 MINUTES GOING TO END!!!

I wouldn’t go by readers comments about whether or not they enjoyed the show – there is a group of nasty women who literally spend hours every day on the internet looking for places to bash Kate. They use multiple usernames and post over and over and over, anywhere they can find an article about the Gosselins.

Google GWOP or jibberjabbers gosselin and you will see what I mean.

I think the ratings from last night’s show, and future shows, will be a more reliable way to gauge the popularity of Kate’s shows.

I Love Kate and the kids!! I hope to see her and the kids for years to come! Just because Jon’s girl friends get on here to bash her does not mean the rest of the world hates her!

I find it disgusting that kate is still crying about how hard her life is when we have people really suffering. Kate’s world is not reality. The Gulf oil spill is a reality. People losing jobs and houses is a reality. Watching Kate whine and cry about her hard life and her kids receiving freebies and not appreciating it is not reality . . . it is disgusting television.

come on, give her a break!! Someone has to provide for those kids, its sure not Jon..theres other familys on reality shows, if I had an intersting life, hell, Id take the money and be on reality show.

I agree that Kate thrives on the papparazzi as much as she says she can’t stand it. Okay, so why would you have an Easter Egg Hunt in the front of your house so the kids and her can be photographed. If she hated it as much as she says wouldn’t you do that in the back of house where the papparazzi can’t take photos. Why is she always wearing high heels and a dress/skirt? What’s wrong with jeans and sneakers – especially on the airpline ride. Did she really need that short dress (which by the way she looked horrible in) and those extra high heels on.

If I earned a dollar for every person who says people are “jealous” of Kate I’d have just as much money as Kate has. I’m just tired of the “jealousy” excuse, it is just not clever.

I don’t hate Kate, who could hate a single mom with 8 kids with an ex-husband who had to go find himself? The first show was okay,(I want to go see dolphins) maybe it will get better, so I’ll reserve my ‘vote’. Hang in there Kate.

This woman is a horrible person and a train wreck. I bed ET and TLC to just pull the plug on her. She isn’t a role model for anyone with a brain. She is part of the dumbing down of America.

The show is going overboard with product placements, becoming an infomercial and losing any shred of its original appeal.

Kate is horrible! If she’d just get over herself for one minute she might still have family talking to her and a husband by her side. In the last episodes of Jon and Kate Plus 8 Jon indicated that all he really wanted to do was have a job again – he was the stay at home dad after having worked a computer sales/tech job for years and being quite successful. He wanted to go back to that and not do the show. Kate wanted to do the show and they ended up splitting over that and whatever else. Kate’s sister-in-law even claims that kate handed Jon a contract and told him that they were no longer a couple and that he just had to play the part for the camera while he could do whatever he wanted when it wasn’t rolling. She only got pissed when he got caught doing what she basically told him to do. She’s a loser.

Anyone who thinks she’s a “real woman” in a “real family” is completely brainwashed. She is selling her kids out for fame. She gets paid by TLC and sponsors, she gets freebies and free nanny services, she gets fame and “celebrity” and what did she do for it? All she’s ever done was crank out kids with ethically questionable IVF (IMO, with already having two kids, the doctor was unethical in implanting multiple embryos).

I think all the negativity I read about Kate and the show is just jealousy over the fact that Kate has been given a choice on how she earns money for the family. She is not stuck in a 12 hour a day nursing job bringing home barely enough money to pay the bills. She has opted for an easier, softer way to earn a living on a television show. More power to her. It would be great if all young mothers had such choices. Since they don’t, then I’m glad that Kate has such a choice. It was fun to see the kids again. I have missed them.

First let me say, that by no means am I jealous of the “whoa is me” Kate Goesslin. For me it is simple, I do not like her, and there is no reason to pity Kate Goesslin. She is a healthy woman with 8 beautiful, healthy children. She has a great deal of money in the bank (2 million for her book, $75,000 per epidsode of her show, several new projects in the works earning her tons more money, $500,000 for DWTS, and hundreds of thousands for her personal appearances), she has three nannies and a full time body guard. Feel sorry for her….NO WAY! I simply cannot stand her attitude and will never watch her new shows as I do not wish to support her any further. I believe that if she truly cared about her children, she would stop pimping them out for fame and cash and actually take care of them. She has enough money to do that now. After all there a many, many people with large families that don’t pity themselves constantly and don’t sell their private lives for fame and money. They simply parent.

I think Kate is try her very best to make a reputible living for her 8 children which is more than what Dear old Dad Jon has tried to do . So I give Kate an A+. Great job Kate and also a great show. Keep it up.

I am a fan of the show but wow, the high heels and mini skirt on an airplane and other impractical places need to GO! Sure, Kate is an attractive woman, especially since updating her look. Nothing wrong with being a “pretty mom” but seriously, jeans or sweats and a tee for traveling with 8 kids via commercial airplane would make more sense. Choices like that are what really make people question her motives, because we all know she’d be wearing something a little more comfortable if the cameras weren’t going.

First of all Jon gave up his job to stay at home with the kids so Kate could go do her thang so get over bashing him! I don’t no anybody that would have stayed with that witch!! Her own parents don’t have anything to do with her and that was before the show ever started! Jealous, hardly! Just don’t like the witch!

I can’t stand her! I feel sorry for her. She brought this on herself… how she treated her husband throughout their Jon Plus Kate show…she was mean and bossy and downright rude to her husband. I predicted he would leave a year before he did. Did she watch her series and his reactions to her nagging and yelling and belittling? I am sick of her prancing, horrible dancing, screaming all the time and just showing off in front of the camera. Good for her for supporting her freaky large family but please! Go AWAY!
And yes I am curious how she does it- but watching them celebrate their adventures paid for by TLC sickens me. It’s not a show, it is voyeurism at it’s best and Kate is laughing all the way to the bank. Bravo. You got our attention. Now GO AWAY! Sick of you Kate. Go live a life without a camera in your face.

Personally,I think the kids are normal little boys and girl. Multiply by eight and it could send anyone into a nervous break down. After putting my own kids down for the night. The last thing I want to do is watch an egotistical, controlling woman whine about her hard life.. Sorry to say, it was very annoying and boring. Maybe wait till the kids are older and do a series just on them.. NO Jon or Kate (PLEASE)…..

Fred’s right after we put the kids to bed last night and had a little quite time the last thing we wanted to hear between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm was Kate and her screeching voice yelling at the kids. I could do with maybe an episode 3 times a year to update my on the kids only. I missed Jon and Kate fighting on the show that’s the whole reason Fred and I watched the show it helped us in our relationship and we laughed because we argured over stuped things too like not using coupons.

This my friends sums up what is wrong with our country. Money is indeed the root of all evil. We have traded in our morals for the all mighty dollar. The woman has more than enough to support her army of children, but is addicted to the fame.
Gary Coleman, Lindsay Lohan and Michael Jackson are examples of what happens to children who are expected to perform like trained monkeys.
The children are now in school, what is there to watch? TLC turn the cameras off.

I watched it out of morbid curiosity like watching the news footage of an airplane crash. It was terrible. From her weird flirting with the men hired to work, to her bizarre-O new chicken and egg fetish, to her many MANY comments about wanting to just go and be ANYWHERE her kids aren’t it was just plain old terrible. I was heart sick for the kids after watching. Why isn’t DSS doing something to help these spoiled rotten, desperately neglected, sad little children?

It’s a show I flip to when the commercials are playing on an alternate channel. As it hasn’t been aired for a month on the West Coast of Canada, can only hope it has FINALLY been canned. After a year, Maddy is still not a happy camper and Kate is still screaming at them and flaunting all her reconstructive surgery about. NOT A NORMAL family. Save all those dollars for years of counselling down the road!!! Sorry, kids.

I watched one episode – where they got the chickens and boy oh boy, all Kate was yapping about was it’s all ME, ME, ME. I do this, I’m alone doing this…. mememememe. Give it a rest Kate, you are not the only single mom in the world. Granted she has 8 kids and one of the older girls is a little snot! I am a single mother myself and I do for my child but I don’t get paid by the big companies because I only have ONE child!

what is up with the hairdo? Kate looks really cheap and dirty. She looked better when it was short and full of body. She looks like the tacky babysitter now. Something that Jon would go for.

The whole point of Jon and Kate’s show initially was to show how an average hard working couple could manage emotionally and financially with 8 children. What it has turned into is a self-centered rude woman who is more worried about how she looks on camera (I mean really, who wears leather stiletto’s and mini-skirts school shopping) and let’s the camera crew babysit her children while she talks about herself and how rough she has it. The show is now just a way for her to rub in the faces of everyday hard working Americans that her brood of 8 gets full paid vacations and luxuries that a family with only 1 child would love to provide for their family but can’t. This show has turned into more of a slap in the face to most hard working families, and less entertainment.

anyone watch tonights episode when she was traipsing around NY city with the kids? She actually shoved on of the kids when she was giving them ice cream because they were not sitting down fast enough for her. She says she does not want to be famous but when they were on the bus she was telling the kids to wave to the people in times square.

I watched the show the other night searching for something interesting to watch and i tell you something. Kate you are using those kids for attention on yourself!!! let them kids be kids, they need to get dirty, scrapes, Jesus let them be kids. You are turning them out to be just like you!!! I wish John would have put you in your place a lot more. I miss John playing with the kids, he did more with the kids than you are doing. He was not out to make that show all about himself. The show J& K + 8, WAS intriguing, watching the children grow up, now it is a forum for the poor me mom, trapsing around in “slut-like” fashion, barking at the kids. Could you possibly stop complaining and whining!! Kate: Stay out of my way, but look at me, look at me!!! Kate you are a poor role model for your children, for mothers single or otherwise, and women in general. Do you ever stop to listen, too busy capturing that perfect picture…that is all you will have when you grow old, coupled with your children telling you, you were too busy in your hollywood world, to meet their emotional needs. Wake up Kate before it’s too late. I could never be jealous or envious of your life, as it’s actually sad and pathetic. The show is NOT on my RECORD list anymore, too hard to watch.

I enjoy Kate plus her 8. Its nice the kids are older and not crying like the quints by surprise. The kids are enjoying their vacations as they should. Sure Kate gts frustrated, there is more to her week than the 1 hour show we see. Having 8 kids to love,feed, clothe educate, rs.appts, etc. is a lot plus organizing her life. I give her a llot of credit. Keep her on the show.

Just watched 5 min. of the Alaska trip. Disgusted with Kate sitting on couch with breast hanging out.

I caught one of the first shows this year and one of the older girls didn’t want to get her piciure taken with Kate and the other kids and Kate told her, “If you don’t I’ll leave you here with someone you don’t know.” What????? What a thing to say to a child when children are getting abducted every day by strangers. These girls are at that tween stage where self esteem and self worth is very important and these are the things they hear? Maybe they are tired of getting their pics taken. On another show she had them in a shoe department at a department store which she said they’ve never been to and the smaller ones were running all over the place with display shoes and normally she’d be hollering at them but where was she? In the ladies department getting MORE shoes for herself. The two older girls were sitting there watching her and making comments about how Mom has lots of shoes. I feel sorry for them cause I think they are getting a lot of mixed signals. I think for the betterment of the children it’s time to let them live a normal life.

So I just watched Kate camping with Sarah Palin. (and this post is not about Sarah Palin so please keep your hate for her to youself). While I normally could not care any less what Kate does, I couldn’t help but notice that she whined the entire time during the camping trip. And at one pint she even cried! Her kids were having fun but she stood under the tent sulking. Instead of taking the opportunity to learn with her kids she ruined the fun for everyone. She should be ashamed of herself. The kids acted more grown up than she!

Watched a little. I would watch the kids, but do not enjoy watching Kate. She still doesn’t get it, she thinks it is all about her, she dresses like a hootchie mom, obviously is not into teaching the kids principles, morals, or anything children that age need to be taught.
She either has forgotten, or never understood, why the show was popular. It was nice to see parents trying to raise a group, giving each special time, and teaching life values and principles, but now, it is just taking them places, doing things, spending money. No down to earth principles or family situations. I do believe she will have to go back to nursing as her income source. That means sell the house, get down to basics.

Kate Plus 8 lacks the depth and sincerity that Jon and Kate Plus 8 portrayed. Seeing the day to day grind of raising 8 young kids as a team like Jon and Kate did make for a great show to watch and even relatable. Now all we see is self-centered Kate and her all-about-me show and bad attitude all at the expense of her kids. She should have never divorced Jon just so she could keep on being on tv. Now her kids pay the price. Just pathetic..

And you know she just loves having those couch interviews all to herself. Now no one can interrupt her precious monologue.. Uhhhg! No fun to watch this show anymore. Bring Jon back!!!
