You may recognize Bruce Fine, whether it’s from his appearances on “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” or guest spots on “King of Queens” or national TV spots for Toyota and Build-a-Bear. A stand up comedian, writer and actor, Bruce is a busy guy, which is part of why we like his giggle-worthy spoof video of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start The Fire” so much.
Not only is it funny, it’s a good example of a busy dad finding a way to do his job and hang out with his family at the same time. Fine’s two sons, Gabriel and Brady, and his wife Shelby, costar in the production with him and it’s obvious that they’re all having a grand time.
While Fine enjoys pushing the edge as a comedian- “We Still Didn’t Start The Fire” features sex scandals and the Vatican in Fine’s run- down of the year’s events in the video, as well as a joke about the amount of inappropriate viewing material available on the internet – he’s a very conscientious dad.
As he told ParentDish in an interview: ”My boys have never heard me curse. I’m from Boston and I’m a comedian, two of the biggest cursers in the world. But I’m a role model for them first.”
