More Tween Jewelry Recalled For Dangerously High Cadmium Levels

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has had to issue another recall for more kids jewelry because it contained too high of levels of cadmium.  All consumers should immediately stop use of this product and return it to their place of purchase.  The majority of these products would have been purchased in a Justice or Unlimited Too stores from November 2008 through February 2010 for between $7 and $16.  The CPSC would also like to warn people that reselling of any recalled items is against the law.

Tween Brands Inc. is the manufacturer of the 137,000 recalled necklaces, earrings and bracelets.  The cadmium levels can be dangerous and cause adverse health affects if ingested.  This recall involves 19 different styles of children’s metal necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Styles and shapes of the jewelry include hearts, heart locks, butterflies, cupcakes, peace signs and crowns. Some jewelry contains the words “Best,” “Friends” or “Forever” and/or “BFF.”
