By AAyles on July 20th, 2010

In the latest recall of 2010, Perdue Farms Inc. is recalling 91,872 pounds of chicken nuggets because officials claim they could contain foreign materials.

The US Dept. of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall, indicating that the products include 1-pound, 13-ounce bafs of “GREAT VALUE fully cooked chicken nuggets.”

AS you can see in the images, consumers are looking for products with the following information:

  • 1-pound, 13-ounce bag of “GREAT VALUE Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets.” Each bag bears the establishment number “P-33944” as well as a case code of “89008 A0160” on the backside of the packaging. There is also a “BEST IF USED BY” date of June 9, 2011.

After further investigation after receiving consumer complaints, the company noticed small pieces of blue plastic. There have been no injuries reported as a result of the product defect.

If you’ve recently purchased the products or are concerned you or your family may be affected, you can contact Perdue Consumer Relations at (877) 727-3447.
