MTV has become one of the most popular television networks in the world. From the Real World and Teen Moms to The Hills and The City, MTV covers a wide variety of reality-based shows that have become renowned around the world.
Their newest endeavor, which premiered last night, is called If You Really Knew Me and is a reality show following different groups of high school students on their journey through the the social barriers of their teen years.
This compelling 12-episode series features a variety of 1-hour episodes, each set in a different school. Cameras follow five students from different cliques on a “Challenge Day” experiment involving different activities and programs.
The goal of the show, which features experienced and trained youth leaders, is to break down the barriers between cliques and change the way students view and treat each other.
“Of all the programs I’ve ever filmed that help young people, Challenge Day is the most impressive and effective” says Arnold Shapiro of Arnold Shapiro Productions. “Bringing MTV and Challenge Day together for this life-changing series have resulted in some of the most rewarding, amazing and uplifting hours I’ve ever produced.”
The new series airs Tuesdays at 11pm on MTV.
