Greyson Chance, the 12-year old piano prodigy made famous by a You Tube video of his performance of Lady Gaga’s Paparazzi at his school’s talent show, and subsequent appearances on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, finally met his idol. Greyson was able to meet Lady Gaga after one of her concerts this week, tweeting, “I met @LadyGaga! She was so kind, gave me some great advice and put on an amazing show!!” He also posted a photo of the two of them together backstage.
On one of his Ellen appearances, Greyson received a surprise phone call from Gaga, who gave him some wise advice. “Work really hard, and stay away from girls and be focused,” she said.
Just weeks after Greyson’s debut, Ellen announced that she had started a record label, signing the 12-year old as her first client. “Greyson inspired me to start a record label called eleveneleven,” said the famous talk show host, “He is my first artist and we are making a record together.”
Greyson’s music teacher from Cheyenne Middle School in Edmond, Oklahoma, told Pop Eater earlier this year, “I have never seen anyone with his level or type of talent. We really hope he comes back to school for the rest of the year, but after this video, who knows what his future holds.”
